Amsterdam districts
Even though Amsterdam is not a vast city, it does have a fair share of districts. These districts are all subdivided into neighbourhoods. We aim to tell you something about all of the districts here, however it will not be complete exhaustive information. For some of the more popular districts we will tell a bit more about the separate neighbourhoods as well, since these are fairly well known neighbourhoods, such as the Redlight District, Jordaan and Albert Cuyp market.
Below you will find a complete list of all districts:
- Amsterdam-Centrum
- Amsterdam-Noord
- Oud-Zuid
- De Baarsjes
- Bos en Lommer
- Geuzenveld/Slotermeer
- Oost/Watergraafsmeer
- Osdorp
- Oud-West
- Slotervaart
- Westerpark
- Westpoort
- Zeeburg
- Zuideramstel
- Amsterdam Zuidoost
These districts can all be found on a map of Amsterdam on the Amsterdam city council website.
