Museum-quarters

Museum-quarters contains several very interesting parts, such as the P.C. Hooftstraat. PC Hoofstraat is a very famous shoppingstreet, it contains shops from Hugo Boss, Cartier, Donna Karan, Bulgari, Gucci, Louis Vuitton etc. This is the most expensive shopping can get in Amsterdam.

Besides shopping, the neighborhood of course owes it's name to the museums that are hosted in this neighborhood, such as there are the Rijks museum, Van Gogh museum and the Stedelijkmusuem which we all discuss in some more detail in other parts of the site.
Around the Museumplein, or Museum-square, you will also find the Concerthall and several high profile buildings such as the US Embassy.
